Replace oxygen sensor for 4cyl 01" Accord - wires don't match

\015 \015\012The wire colors don\342\200\231t match the scheme of the code reference instructions. \015\012\015\012My old one has 2 blacks, 1 white, 1 green. I must connect the new one to these wires.\015\012\015\012The new (universal o2 sensor) one has 1 black,1 gray and 2 white wires.\015\012\015\012Finally, I guess I'd ask if it will cause damage if I try it one way to see if it works then try reversing the wires if it doesn't work? \015\012For example: \015\012-wire the black and gray (of new part) to the two blacks (original wires)\015\012-wire one white (of new part) to white and the other white to the green?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 06-04-2020

Answers :

Don't put a universal oxygen sensor in your vehicle. You will have nothing but problems, and you will have to put an OEM one in it anyway.
