Having problems with your 1996 Land Rover Range Rover ?

My 1996 Range Rover has a gearbox fault light on, the ABS light is on as well. When I tried to move foward, one of the rear wheels is making a loud clicking/ popping sound. Can you please tell me whats the problem?

The first thing to do is to remove the rear wheels and inspect the brakes. now the parking brake should be in the inside of the rotor. a set of drum brakes exclusively for the parking brake. if all is ok then look at the inside and you will see a wheel that looks like a gear. that is the exciter ring for the abs system(or wheel speed sensor). inspect distance. should only be about a couple of mm. inspect these items and let me know. this our starting point to start isolating issues. you have a couple of issues going on and im sure they seem bigger then they are.
I would deffinently remove the rear wheels and look at your brakes. The noise would tell me something has broke
