Having problems with your 1996 Nissan Sentra ?
The car in question is a 96 Nissan Sentra. After the car starts it dies out and the engine is running really loud. We got the car started by pressing the gas pedal down all the way. What do you think that this might be?
Answers :
This most probably is an issue called "drowning" by some mechanics. There is too much fuel inside your carb and not enough air that is why when you push the pedal all the way it starts. When you step on the gas more air is let through to match the fuel. Remember, do not pump the gas pedal because it also pumps more fuel into the carb even when not running, this will cause starting issues.
