Having problems with your 1996 Pontiac Grand Am ?

Replace radiator fan motor? where 2 buy cheap online?

\015 1996 grand am gt v6..over heats, replaced coolant sensor, tested fan and it works but runs slow. was advised by a neighbor who works on cars that motor needs to be replaced. looking online even for used parts and still costly. any suggestions for cheap parts.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 22-07-2019

Well, Is the overheat due to the fan? To confirm it is, get the vehicle above 35 mph and see if it still heats up.If it does, the fan is "not guilty"If the temp drops and then goes up under35, the fan . The effect of the fan on cooking is onlyat low speed or idle. Above 35 mph, the fan is negated by the ram air across the radiator. If the temp rises above 35, then it is more than likely a thermostat. Good luck
Here is my suggestion if you know someone can rewind a motor ask for his help because it is much cheaper to rewind your old motor rather buying a used one.
