How to Replace a Power Window Switch

Parts:
1. Window Switch - Replacement Parts

Tools:
1. Screwdriver
2. Multimeter
3. 3/8 in. Drive Ratchet
4. Socket Set

Steps:
Step 1 Inspect fuse box for blown fuses. Fuse box locations can be found in the vehicle owner's manual.
o Tip: A blown power window fuse maybe the only repair necessary.
o Tip: Safety Tip:Always wear safety glasses when working on your vehicle. Wear other personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary, for example latex gloves or safety shoes.

Step 2 Remove the door panel by unclipping the handles and switches with a screw driver.

Step 3 Locate power window switch.

Step 4 Remove power window switch from the door panel.

Step 5 Install new power window switch into the door panel.

Step 6 Reconnect power window switch.
o Tip: While door panel is off it is a good idea to test the new switch to verify the repairs.

Step 7 Reinstall door panel and power windows should be operative.
