Having problems with your 1996 Toyota Corolla ?

Key lock cylinder won't come out....

\015 Ok i have taken out the everything except the key lock cylinder in my car. I know i ahve to get it into the ACC postion and push on the button on the bottom and pull it sttraight out... but the problem is that my ignition is stuck in the lock posiotion and it wont turn into the acc position.. any other ways of getting it out without drilling it?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 18-06-2018

Cars have a lock position to protect the car from being stolen by theives. When we park the car with the wheels turned to the sides it gets locked in that position and the key can sometimes nbe hard to take out. Try moving the steering wheel in both directions as much as possible while pushing in the key and trying to jiggle it to turn. If you can get it out, the next time , park your car with the wheels facing forward. I hope this works.
