Having problems with your 1996 Volkswagen Jetta ?

My 1996 jetta just started stalling when I try to accelerate.

\015 I know what caused it, I just don't know where to go to fix it.\015\012\015\012I am planning on selling the car soon, so when I went to the car wash, I washed the engine. I was careful to stay away from the coil, but evidently I got water somewhere that it doesn't like.\015\012\015\012Where should I look and is there anything else that could cause this\015\012\015\012Thanks,\015\012\015\012Jerry\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 09-12-2019

Answers :

Inside the distributor cap , remove cap , dry off rotor and inside of cap then a light spray of wd40 will also help displace the moisture
