I would say that going staright for the radiator as a cause of the problem is jumping the gun slightly. Need to know more info. Is the coolant low in the first place? If so, any visible coolant leaks? or it could be lack of routine topping up. If the coolant level is ok, then does the radiaor fan operate when it gets too hot. Or the thermostat could be jamming shut. Sometimes water pump impellers break off rendering the pump in-effective. Any signs of head gasket failure (creamy coloured oil, cooling system preasurising excesively....)
