Gas guage doesn't work

Use a magnet. MAKE SURE IGNITION IS OFF! A good strong magnet will do the trick. I had to use both the "pull" and the "push" of the magnet, but had it fixed in about ten seconds. just work it back around as far as you can to the other side of the peg. I got it to within about a quarter inch. pulled the magnet away, started the car, and viola, working gas gauge!
