Having problems with your 1997 Cadillac Catera ?

Brake lights have stopped functioning

\015 I was cited for driving without brake lights just before Christmas. I haven't been able to locate the problem. Drained the water from the trunk lid, checked fuses and bulbs, but no answers. Every bulb works for every function except breaking. A suggestion was offered to inspect the sensor connected to the pedal. As the foot pedal was depressed, a sound - almost a tapping noise - was heard coming from the passenger-side of the front cab underneath the dashboard. Not sure if that's normal, but this operator grows impatient with the 1st year automobile. Could it be a relay switch? Please, I could use the help from the "village".\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 25-10-2021

Answers :

Should be a Relay in the Fuse Box Under the Hood on the Drivers Side. The Diagram for the Fuses is inside the Fuse box Cover If Not, it will be in the Owners Manual.
