Having problems with your 1997 Cadillac Seville ?

4t80e aan vs mln 96/97 What is the difference? I have a 97 seville sls, and the trans. has a tag 7AAN. I found a transmission 4t80e from a 96 deville concours, but the tag is 6MLN. I know the number is the year, but I don't have a clue what the difference is between the letters. I know that the MKN has a different gear ratio. But I need to know if I can use the MLN in the car that the AAN came out of.. Can you assist?

The aan and mln is the modle it goes to. aan is for sls and the mln is for deville. as long as the conectors are the same thair should be no problems. i changed a 4t60e out of a 95 deville and the id tag was difrent then the replacement transmission id tag and a year later its still driving so . im gonna say ya it should be fine
