Having problems with your 1997 Chevrolet Suburban ?

97 Suburban. Engine cranks, but won't fire. Fuel full, coil wire connected, all lights functional. Acts like no spark.

I just went through this with my Tahoe, depending on your mileage, I would say go to the parts store and get yourself a new distributer for 100 bucks, most of them come with the ignition module in them already, cause with a no spark issue, it could be the ignition module or the pickup coil on the bottom of the distributor under the module plate. For the cost of the other pieces, why not just get a new one that has all new parts and a new gear to boot. If and when you change this out, and you know you are getting spark, but it still wont crank over, and you know you have the firing order correct......
\015\0121-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 If the engine wont run, there are times when it gets a fuel lock after being cranked with no turn over. In this case have someone crank it over while you dribble fuel straight down the TBI barrel. This "primes" the motor and gets fuel flowing when the engine actually runs. Hope this helps...it did for me.
