Having problems with your 1997 Chrysler LHS ?

How do I pull the stub shaft bearing?

\015 I recently replaced both cv shafts, as the driveside was very worn and creating a clicking while driving. When I removed the driverside cv shaft, I also noticed that the bearing for the stub shaft that the cv joint connects to is completely destroyed. I managed to get the snap ring out, but I can't get the bearing itself to move. There isn't any room to use a standard bearing puller, and the cv shaft is still in place. Any ideas on how to get that bad bearing out?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 03-08-2020

Good to hear you got it. They do make a specail tool to do this, the bearing wasn't frozen up it was pressed in place most likely..
