Check Engine Light / O2 sensor

\015 My "check engine" light has just lit up.My truck runs great. I had a head gasket job done about 200 kilometers ago. I have been reading info on the internet that if certain sealants are used that are not marked "Oxygen sensor safe"or "Sensor safe",can damage the O2 senors. I had the O2 sensors replaced about 20,000 kilometers ago as well I replaced the cat/converter.If the Chrysler service center did not use the "safe" sealant when doing my gasket job ; should they take responsibility for the damaged O2 sensor ?I have to take the truck in and have them read the code that computer has thrown , just want to know what to say if they tell me it is the O2 sensor.Cheers !\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 27-05-2019

Answers :

Get a print out about the sealant and take it with you, and if you can prove they used a non safe sealant, and it does come up 02 sensors again, it's their fault, I looked in my emissions manual, and the 02 sensors only need to be replaced every 30,000 miles or 24 months, which ever comes first. Good luck.
