Having problems with your 1997 Ford Escort ?

Should the thermal fan kick on when the A/C is turned on and run all the time that the A/C is on? There was a recent radio installation and probable rewire

Answers :

The cooling fan should only kick in when the temperature sensor tells the computer it needs to. If the fan comes on immediately after you start a cold motor and the AC is switched off, you either have a bad sensor, a bad computer, or a bad fan relay. You are going to need a decent voltage meter and a shop manual to track this one down. Good Luck!!!
