Having problems with your 1997 Ford Explorer AWD ?

\015 1997 Ford Explorer V8 5.0 - I remove key and dash lights and all electrical stays on sort of like it is in "Run" position yet key is out. Cannot start vehicle. Steering wheel lock don't work. Are you aware? you have the key and tumbler and another part under the dash on the steering column called the ingition switch.
\015\012They both have to be aligned in sync to operate properly.
\015\012Question? is this a tilt steering wheel,if it is and you dont know anything about it I suggest you get a professionel to do this kind of job.
\015\012You really have to know what your doing for this one.
