Having problems with your 1997 Ford F150 Regular Cab ?

95 ford e150, 5.8L van will not start...

\015 Ran just fine on saturday. sunday wouldn't turn over, just sat there and kept chuggin and trying. hasn't statred since. replaced fuel filter and spark plugs. plug wires seemed to be in good shape. opened up the distributor cap and cleaned off what little corrosion there was. checked all fuses, were all good. don't know what else to do. fuel pump? distributor? please help. this is my work van, i need it running. keep in mind, i am not a mechanic. i just know some basics and how to use tools.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 25-03-2019

I have had problems with my 95 F-150 302 for the past few months. After changing the ignition module and continued trouble shooting to exclude the fuel being the problem; the distributor stator [also called the pickup coil] was the fix. You have to pull the distributor to get to it, but that should solve your problem. Ford vehicles of that vintage have a history of having that problem.
I would check the fuel pump by disconnecting the fuel line between fuel filter and fuel pump.Turn the key on and see if fuel comes out with a strong stream.If no fuel check fuse if good replace pump.
