Need to replace o2 sensors on a 1997 thunderbird
\015 I need to replace my o2 sensors on my 1997 ford thunderbird, i have no idea where they are located, or how many there are. I have been researching online and there are 2 wire, 3 wire, 4 wire, heated etc....How do I know where they are? how many? and what kind?\015\012\015\012Thanks\015
THEY SHOULD BE 4 (WHAT ENGINE) WIRE SENSORS, THEY ARE BEFORE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS IN THE EXHAUST HEAD PIPES.
You will need to crawl under the car and look at the mufflers where they come out of the motor and behind the catalytic converter. you will probably have one before and after the catalytic converter on both pipes. You will have to count the wires once you find them. They will be screwed directly into the exhaust pipe.
