Having problems with your 1997 GMC Jimmy ?

Replaced fuel pump fuel filter fuel relay and still will not start somtimes will start but only runs for about five minutes shuts off and will not start again

Check the igniton module in the distributor also check the rotor bug and cap and one other thing check the gray! impluse feed wire from the fuel pump relay all the way down through the frame back to the fuel pump inche by inch! in 1997 GMC and Chev had issues with faulty wiring in the fuel pump feed harness and i found over 700 trucks would lose voltage in the GRAY wire somewhere in the frame and usually in a section under the cab and front of the bed area the wire wont be broke visably! it breaks internally making it hard to locate visually you will need a test light or a volt meter to trace it down
You could have a faulty Crank Shaft sensor or a faulty ICM (Ignition Control Module) which is located in the distributor under the rotor. Also check the wire lead to your coil. If you can have the Jimmy scanned for the DTC codes that will help us get your jimmy running 100% again soon. Keep me posted.
