Having problems with your 1997 Honda Civic ?

I have a 03 honda civic the heat works but when your driving you can feel the heat cooling off. now the funny things that if you shut it off and turn it back on it works again. i have back flush the system and change the thermastat. still have the same issue. need some help thanks.

If the engine temp goes down while you are driving , it is a good indication that the thermostat is stuck open. Could be the one you bought was defective , OR , after you installed it , the block overheated due to a vapour lock in the engine , and the new thermostat got cooked.
\015\012Vapour lock and overheating is quite common after changing a thermostat if the system was not properly refilled and bled after doing the job.
