Inner cv joint removal for a 1997 honda passport

\015 I have a 1997 4x4 Honda Passport EX model with a 3.2 v6 engine.. The vehicles front drive train makes a brief clanking noise when I make a hard turn to the left or right as if the cv joints are bad. When I performed a visual inspection of the components, I seen that a lower ball joint boot was bad and the outer cv joint boot was also bad on both sides.. I removed all the brake components, tie rod ends and moved the spindles out of the way to access the cv axle. I removed the outer halves (closest to the brake caliper) of the cv joints... I can move the inner cv joints back and forward about tree inches but I can't **** them out.. I tried to pry the inner cv joints off but couldn't. Looks like I may have to drop the entire front drive train just to access something which will allow the removal of the inner cv joint..If you know the procedure or process, please share your thoughts..\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 15-10-2018
