Alarm and imobiliser on a discovery 300tdi

\015 Hello, ive got a 1994 300tdi discovery(one of the first of the 300 series).\015\012The problem i have is this-\015\012I\015\012 had to disconect the battery to do some welding, after i finished the welding i reconnected the battery. i put the key into the ignition to start the engine but the imboliser cuts in and the alarm starts sounding. I can start the engine by push starting it,but i cant start the engine using the key.\015\012 I have tried locking all the doors and leaving it for an hour and then unlocking the doors and atempting to start,i have checked the wires. \015\012I dont have a key fob just the normal keys, i have disconected the battery before and never had this problem.\015\012 Can anyone suggest how i can disarm the alarm and imobiliser so i can get back to using my discovery.\015\012Many thanks.\015\012Dave.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 20-09-2021

Answers :

Before you cut or rewire the alarm, when welding the disco although disconecting the battery protects the battery, the imobiliser holds current, this my have gone into system factory setting, so it my be worth getting the imob and key re-conected, this is a cheap job at any Landrover specialist. hope your running smooth soon
