Having problems with your 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis ?

What did I do

\015 I needed to change the battery cable ends at the battery and decided to replace the entire cable; pos and gnd. I cut the old cables near the valve cover and ran the new cable to the starter, and grounding at a starter mounting bolt. Now none of the interior lights, the instrument cluster or door lock or window switches operate. The engine starts and I can drive it just don't know how fast I am going and don't know how much fuel is in the tank. None of the warning lights illuminate either. The only dash light I have is for ABS. What did I do?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 03-10-2022
