Power steering belt removal

\015 I am trying to remove the power steering belt to change the alternator belt. I've loosened the tensioner to the point to where iI took it off completely but i still can't get the pully to move enough. Any thoughts?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 30-03-2020

Answers :

You need to loosen the large mounting bolt at the base of the power steering pump as well as the tension adjusting bolt on top of the unit that is attached to the slotted arm. You may need to use of a large pry bar to gently force the pump inwards to gain enough slack to remove the belt.
