Having problems with your 1997 Nissan Maxima ?

Engine can't get start, battery is good because radio could play. oil is good.

The radio and other accessories draw very little power, so the fact that they work does not mean that the battery is OK. Pull the battery cables (Negative first), clean the terminals and cable ends with a wire brush or sandpaper, then check the battery water levels (if yours is a serviceable battery) and add distilled water if necessary. Reconnect the cables (Negative last) and see if the car will start. If not, jump start it from another car and then take it to a mechanic or parts store where they can check the battery and replace it if needed. There are other possible causes for the problem, so be sure to have the charging and starter systems checked while you're having the battery checked.
