1997 Plymouth Voyager how do i change the ignition switch without blowing the airbag

Answers :

One way to do it is by disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery. Then, remove all the fuses marked for the SRS Air Bag. Then, disconnect all the yellow connectors under the dash, in and around the steering column and under the seats. Finally, if you are not going to remove the Air Bag, make sure not to hit the area by banging on it to loosen something. Warning.... even with all this, be careful because the system is primed to trigger under excessive conditions. Good Luck...
