Having problems with your 1997 Plymouth Voyager ?

I have a 97 Plymouth Grand Voager that I bought recently. When I bought it the blew hot almost instantly but you had to turn the fan control to the highest setting for it to come on. After a couple days it started making a humming sound when the heat was on, then it had a delay in coming on. Yesterday when I turned the heat on it made a wierd whirring noise and then nothing. Is it the heater blower motor or what and how do I fix it? Dealer or do it myself?

This is 100% - definitely the Blower Motor Resistor located near the Blower Motor. It is defined with 3-4 wires going into it. It is easy to remove and replace. Purchase the part at the auto parts store versus at the dealer to save you a lot of money. Purchase it first...this will let you know what your are looking for near the Blower Motor.
\015\012YOU can do this yourself.
\015\012Disocnnect the Negative Cable off the Battery and wait at least 2-minutes to discharge the Airbag Sensors.
\015\012Take the Dash Glove Box completely out to access.
\015\012It should be mounted near the fire wall (back) and should have two (2) 8mm bolts/metal screws going into it. Unplug the Resistor, Remove the bolts/metal crews and Remove the Resistor.
\015\012Installation is reverse of above.
