Answers :

The Low-side port is just about dead-center in front of the engine. Right in front of the exhaust manifold, and between the two radiator fans. It may have a blue or black plastic cap on it.
The High-side port is on the driver-side (US) behind the coolant reservoir, below the cruise-control motor. It usually has a red cap.
Of course the Low-side is where you would attach the freon supply.
Caution: messing with AC systems can be dangerous to your property, vehicle, and your person. If you have any doubt about what you are doing or what to connect, where, don't! Always use eye protection and gloves to protect your hands.
You dont need a diagram. Most ac valve are easy to find. You will find that there are two aluminum tubing in your hood one is bigger than the other. The bigger one would have the port to charge your ac. You should be able to locate it. Most cars take about a can and half to a can and 3/4. If you put two cans in there thats too much, and your car wont get that cold. A van might take a little more.
