Answers :

Start in the radiator. Open the cap and check for rust and potential clogging of the flow channels. If there is restrictions in your radiator, flush the radiator with some radiator flush. Connect a hose to the lower radiator hose and back flush the system. If there are no obstructions, remove and replace your thermostat. These are devices that are designed to regulate temperature to the engine, allowing more water when it get hot and less when it is cold. These sometimes freeze up in the closed position, as they are spring operated, and don't allow for proper water flow. The thermostat is located in the housing that meets your top radiator hose at the engine. Just follow the top radiator hose until you reach the engine and it is in that housing. If that does not cure the problem, than you problem is much greater and could possibly be a blown head gasket or a cracked block. This would require an engine overhaul or replacement. You should consult a mechanic if this seems to be the problem.
