Having problems with your 1997 Toyota Corolla ?

Oil Pan drain plug is leaking. Dealer service replaced with oversized tapered plug but still leaking. How big of a job is it to replace oil pan?

Answers :

You may be able to cure the leak with a thicker, softer gasket on the drain plug. Also the drain plugs come in several oversizes. So if the 1st one doesn't work you can try the next size.

\015\012considering the cost of oil pan replacement I would just add a dab of RTV sealant to the drain plug washer next time I had an oil change.
