Having problems with your 1997 Toyota Corolla ?

Corolla 1997 external door handle does not return to normal position after opening the door - the external handle sticks out until you physically push it down - if you try to shut the door while it is sticking out the door won't clise.

Hello, try spraying WD40 in there, if that does not work you will need to remove the door trim and have a proper look from the inside, your return spring may be broken or popped out of place, if it is broken it is usually removed by 2/4 nuts/bolts with a few rods being held in place by clips, it is usually straight forward but can get a bit tricky with the clips and rods in the way, if the clips are plastic be extra careful not to break them and make sure you put the rods back in there correct place.
