Having problems with your 1997 Toyota Tacoma ?

2001 TACOMA, 2.7 ENG., 4WD, REG. CAB, STNDRD. CHECK ENG LIGHT CAME ON AND READ; CATALYST BELOW EFFICIENCY LEVELS, BANK 1. REPLACED THE CONVERTER WITH AN OE STYLE AFTERMARKET. LIGHT CAME BACK ON THE NEXT DAY. THEN REPLACED DOWNSTREAM SENSOR WITH AFTERMARKET TYPE. LIGHT CAME BACK ON IN 6 DAYS. THEN REPLACED UPSTEAM SENSOR. LIGHT CAME BACK ON IN 3 DAYS. A MECHANIC FRIEND TOLD ME THAT THE COMPUTER PROBABLY WASN'T RECOGNIZING THE AFTERMARKET SENSORS. BOUGHT DOWNSREAM SENSOR FROM DEALER [VIN MATCHED]
