Oil Leaking From Above Oil Filter

\015 It has been real cold out and I started the car to scrape ice. When it was running I heard a gurgling sound and looked under the hood to find oil coming from the area abovethe oil filter. I think it coud be a seal but I was wondering how to get it apart. Any help is appreciated.\015\012\015\012Thanks\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 29-06-2020

Answers :

The oil pressure sending unit may be the leak. Look at it again and see if the oil is coming from a small device that has a wire plugged to it. If so then it is the oil pressure sender. They are inexpensive and easy to replace. Just buy one unscrew the old one and screw the new one in snug do not over tighten. Remember to plug it back in.
