Having problems with your 1998 Audi A4 ?

1998 Audi Cabriolet will not crank. I have charged the battery and have good voltage. I raised the car abd checked voltage to start and it is good. I loosened the wires and reconnected them on the starter. It still will not crank. We have all the dash lights ect. The starter does not even click. ( like when battery is low). I am missinf a relay or fusible link some where. If so where are they.

Its probably the starter, Mine did the same thing. If you crank the key and tap the starter with a hammer it will probably fire. If so, replace the starter.
There is usually a fusable link in your positve battery cable. Use a test light to see if you have power at your starter. If you do, and it still won't do anything, it might not be all the way in park, the starter solenoid may be faulty, or the starter could be jammed in the ring gear. If you don't have power there, replace the pos. cable.
