Answers :

FIRST TURN OFF RADIO THEN REMOVE THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE. FOR THE A - 4 1.8 L ENGINE YOU HAVE TO REMOVE AIR INTAKE DUCT FROM THE INTERCOOLER TO THE THROTTLE BODY AND REMOVE THE ALTERNATOR DRIVE BELT.THEN YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE ENGINE COOLING FAN. THEN DISCONNECT THE WIRE TERMINALS FROM THE ALTERNATOR THEN REMOVE ALTERNATOR MOUNTING BOLTS AND REMOVE ALTERNATOR. FOR A - 4 2.8L ENGINES YOU HAVE POSITION FRONT END RADIATOR SUPPORT IN THE SERVICE POSITION. YOU NEED A REPAIR MANUAL TO SEE HOW TO REMOVE FRONT END AND RADIATOR SUPPORT IF YOU DO HAVE THE A - 4 2.8L ENGINES.
