Having problems with your 1998 Chevrolet Blazer ?

Problem with engine

\015 I have a 98 Chevy Blazer 4wd. I recently took my car to have the upper gasket replaced. After doing this when I took the engine home, after a couple of days the oil pressure gauge would stay at zero and a loud knocking noise started to occur. The mechanic told me that there was nothing I could do to fix this problem and that I need to rebuild or buy a brand new engine. What do I do?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 11-11-2019

I had the intake gasket replace. I get an oil change before 3,000 miles because the sound is so horrible. What I do now is put 20w-50 oil and put also a bottle of Lucas Oil Stablizer to help. The crazy thing is that I payed for them to do an oil change after the intake was replaced. When I changed the oil after they did this job, it was not even oil, it was almost as thin as water and it was black.
Did you have the head gasket replaced or the intake gasket replaced. it's important that i know exactly what they did to your engine. i will be able to pin point the exact problem
