Noise in the diferential

\015 Noise in the anti-slip diferential of my 1998 silverado pickup.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 18-10-2021

Answers :

That depends on the noise. It it is a growling noise it very well could be a bearing and could possdibly need to be overhauled. If the noise is more of a chatter it probably needs the fluid changed and a limited slip additive put in. If the diff has not been changed and is still stock it should be what they call a Gov Lock.
Needs to be Rebuilt. Got mine done in my 95' No more Noises.
