Having problems with your 1998 Chevrolet Lumina ?

My 1998 chevy lumina decelerated from 60 mph to 50 to 40, so I pulled over, and the car would not start since, what is the problem?

Answers :

This sounds fuel related to me. did the car just all of a sudden start losing power on the highway? i guess it would crank and crank, but not start when you pulled over? have you run out of gas recently or frequently? i would check your fuel filter first, but it sounds like your fuel pump just up and quit on you. that pump is, of course, inside the gas tank. pulling the tank involves 2 straps, 3 fuel lines, and an electrical connector plug. hopefully you were low on gas when it happened. that way the tank is not so heavy and hard to work with.
