Having problems with your 1998 Chevrolet Suburban ?

Adding Coolant How do I add coolant to my suburban? The engine was running hot and I can see the bottle where I'm supposed to put it in. It has a hot level and a cold level below that. I think I'm supposed to put half coolant in it and half water is this correct and when should I do that?

Answers :

Wait til the car is cold and then open the cap on the RADIATOR by pushing it down while twisting. The coolant must be filled to the brim. Replace the cap and then fill the overflow tank to the "cold" mark. Use a 50/50 mixture of water and coolant.
Just pour in the bottle from your anti-freeze bottle, if its cold ,fill to cold but if its hot ,crank engine and add to the tank to hot line, hope this helps, thanks robert b.
