Having problems with your 1998 Dodge Dakota ?

1998 dodge dakota 3.9L V6 automatic transmission is slipping it doesnt want to go into first unless i reach over 4-5k rpm and then it can shift out of gear back into first. Just got this truck back after replacing both cylender heads. the fluid level is fine but i think there are 2 diferent kinds of transmission fluids inside.thats the only thing i can think of
