Having problems with your 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan ?

Brake caliper won't release

\015 Replaced the pass side caliper which has come apart and pads. after test drive brakes got hot.\012Took apart and it seems that the new caliper won't release. The only way I could get it to collapse was to open the bleeder valve. So I know the caliper is not the problem. any ideas?\012About 2 months ago my sister accidentally put some power steering fluid in the brake reservoir. Could this be causing the problem? I was told by my mechanic it shouldn't hurt anything but now I'm wondering.\012Thanks in advance for any suggestions\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 21-01-2019

Answers :

Shane prowett could need flexible brake line...sometimes when changing calipers the flexible lines get stretched or twisted while removing or installing calipers, fluid will push the piston but won't return back to free rotors. Hope I could help ya with your troubles! -Andy Maze-
