Having problems with your 1998 Dodge Intrepid ?
I have a 2002 Intrepid. Just put in a new battery and had the alternater tested. I was told the it was putting out 14amp and the there was an electrical drain since the battery went dead after sitting for a few days. In addition I have rear window and AC indicator lights do not shut off.
The alternator I believe is putting out 14 volts, correct? Not amps,if it only has 14 amps, your alternator would be bad. Now,the alternator still could be bad.Unplug the connector to the alternator to see if this is your draw, while testing for the draw, then start pulling fuses until you find the draw.
If the indicator lights are on for the rear window and the ac pump, then something in the circuts for the units is faulting and drawing juice, luckily for you, you have the indicator lights. True they don't tell you what exactly is going on, but they do point you in the proper direction and thats one heck of a good start. You are going to have to use a multimeter and work your way through the wiring, relays and wire looms to fix the problem, until then locate the fuses and remove them so there is no more draw on your battery.
