Having problems with your 1998 Dodge Intrepid ?

Car starts and runs, get to destination and turn off car and when try to start car up it spits and sputters and will not start.

WELL IT COULD BE A LOT OF THINGS ....BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE A TIMING ISSUE. TIMING BELTS LIKE TO BREAK WHEN ENGINES ARE SHUT OFF. BAD THINGS CAN HAPPEN WITH A BROKEN BELT LIKE PISTONS HITTING VALVES. I WOULD RULE OUT THE BELT BEFORE TRYING TO START IT ANYMORE.
