Having problems with your 1998 Ford Escort ?

Lights Only have headlights working, no rear lights at all! Fuses seem ok however no power seems to be reaching them from relay switches.Unable to tell which switch is responsible for lights. Nothing to help in the car itself ie stickers/diagrams etc Need car for work and can only use it in the daylight now - can you help???

Sound like the common fault of the light stalk mine recently did this 25£ from scappy light stalk ie indicators wipers lights switch, easy to remove just take af black plastic cover round the steering wheel and remove screw behind hazard light take the conectors of and slide up make sure its the same replacement as there are a few different types as i found out hopefully this is helpful to u
Did you check your bulbs, by slightly pushing them in with your hand or try cleaning the contacts inside where the bulb conects. You can also use a tester which can be bought anywhere to troubleshoot. They have a sharp contact point with an aligator clip on the other end. You connect the clip to a negative part anwhere in the car.and touch the contact point with the sharp end . If there is current a little bulb will light.
