Having problems with your 1998 Honda Accord ?

1998 HONDA ACCORD EX dealership says all is OK! but the car intermittently loses power, although it recovers quickly so far. My daughter reports that it sometimes starts making a honking like sound ... with a vibration she feels at the accelerator pedal. She sez it sounds like something rubber is rubbing. She also reported smelling smoke or something burning. No warning lights. I'm visiting for a few days but will have to return home. Your help is most appreciated!

Answers :

You might check the suspension they tend to get weak when time to time also you said your daughter felt a vibration during acceleration you might check the motor mount or cable and some car comes with the cruise control tend to make shatter if the actuator is bad also check the harmonic balancer for any movement when the car is on..do all this test and let me know if it works
