Having problems with your 1998 Jeep Cherokee ?

Temperature gauge I just recently had my belt change because it broke I also had my lower radiator hose changed now my temperature gage show vehicle running hot after driving for 10 minutes but it's not running hot and then after a couple of minutes it goes back to mid point 210 degrees then it goes back to as if it is overheating. What is the problem.

Answers :

ECT switch may be sending faulty readings to PCM. find the switch, visually inspect, and if you can get a multi meter, and find resistance readings for the component bench test for proper operation.
