At this juncture I would surely re-check the battery and the total charging system's condition for that matter. You may have recieved a discharged or defective battery. A proper diagnostic would be load testing of the battery and amps output from the alternaor under a load. System voltage with engine running must exceed 13.6 volts and an ample supply of amps is neccessary for your battery to charge. Another featue of the diagnostic should include a battery draw test .This can be done by reading voltage between a disconnected postive battery cable and its post position on the battery. Low voltage should be present reading in series with this cable and post. Verifying these items is neccessary for your diagnostic
