Having problems with your 1998 Jeep Wrangler ?

Oil type for front and rear differential for 98 jeep wrangler 4.0

\015 I have a 98 jeep wrangler 4.0 with no tow package; however, I have added a hitch and occasionally wil tow items not weighing over 2,000 lbs. I also have a roof rack. I'm currently changing the gaskets on both the fron and rear differential due to leaking. I have been told to replace the oil with Royal Purple 75/90. Royal Purple is synthetic oil and very high quality. I would like to know if this is the right oil for my jeep. Thank you.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 14-01-2019

Answers :

Can't really go wrong with synthetic oil as long as the grade and weight of the oil is equivelent to what is in there now.
