You either have a vacuum leak like a hose is of that would affect both sides of the engine or the intake to the air cleaner is loose of the sensor MAF which is on the intake tube near the air cleaner is contaminated or it failed. You could try cleaning the small wires in the MAF carefully with brake cleaner, If you have a K/N filter then the maf is most definately coated with the oil and grime.
\015\012These engine usually develope a crack in the elbow coming from the PCV valve where it attaches to the rear of the throttle body.
Same problem on my 2004 aviator, the problem was the rubber pcv boot, took it off and there was a hole in it.
