At what mileage do you change the timing chain in a 1998 Mbenz S 320

Hi, the recommended timing chain change milage is 100,000 this is when they tell you it needs changing, some people never change it and never have any problems but if the car has been driven hard or at high speeds then it will need changing at this point, if it has not been serviced regular then it should be changed as soon as your reach this millage,

You shouldnt never need to change it ,the guides /adjusters maybe ,it runs in oil and should never need changing
